Easter

We had an amazing Easter Party and the residents enjoyed wearing their Easter Bonnets for the Easter Bonnet Parade.  As well as having live music our kitchen team did a fantastic buffet.  Hope you had a lovely time if you joined us and thank you to everyone for your amazing support it is greatly appreciated.

Tea Dance

Every Friday afternoon we hold a tea dance and families are more than welcome to come along and join us. Pauline lays the tables with table clothes, china cups and sauces. The music range varies from the 40s up to the 90s.

Exercise Class

Our exercise session on a Wednesday morning is hugely popular with residents. Pauline includes armchair excises and for the more energetic, physical activities that include ball games with a parachute.

Ladies Singing Group

We had an afternoon of singing and dancing with a Ladies Singing group who do comedy dancing and singing. Pauline tries to ensure that the entertainment is varied to meet everyone’s taste

Baby Shower

We held a Baby Shower for Stephanie (senior carer) . Stephanie gave birth to a beautifully baby girl on the 5th July 2019. Mum and daughter are doing great.

Fathers Day

On the 15th June 2019 we held a Father’s Day Party Pauline organised live entertainment to come in and our kitchen team did us proud by doing a fantastic buffet. We hope if you joined us that you had a great time and once again thank you for all your support.

Elvis and Carmen Miranda Afternoon

We had an amazing duo that came and entertained the residents with their version of Elvis and Carmen. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon of singing and dancing.

Other News

Activities

In the conservatory Pauline puts a list of activities that are going to be held in the week ahead. The notice board informs you of forthcoming events i.e. Sumer fair date. Everyone is more than welcome to come and join us, so please don’t be shy.

Information

We have an information notice board on display in the conservatory to ensure that you are kept up to date as much as possible on what is happening in the home. This includes new polices, protected meal times etc.

If you contact admin@argylecaregroup.com we will put you on our group emailing list, to ensure you are updated with any goings on at Redcourt.

Unmarked clothing

We have a large number of ladies clothing items, some that are brand new, that are unmarked. Please can we ask that you visit the laundry team during your visit, as there may be items of clothing that belongs to your relative. As you can appreciate we can do not have the facilities to keep the items of clothing for an indefinite period.

Wall mounted televisions

We are no longer able to mount televisions to the wall, this is in the interest of health and safety, and also the damage caused to the bedroom walls should the television have to be removed. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

Toiletries

Can you please ensure that your relative has their own hairbrush or comb with their name on and their own toothbrush and toothpaste?

The home provides each resident with shower gel, shampoo, body spray, wipes, shaving foam and razors on a daily bases.

Underclothes

To ensure that the care team can support your relative to be appropriately dressed please can you provide on regular bases underwear. All clothing must be clearly marked with you relatives name on.

New residents

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome some new residents to Redcourt we hope you will be happy in your new home.
