One afternoon we had a number of small animals from the local farm visit the home, our residents really enjoyed this!
Gerry came in and entertained our residents with an afternoon of singing, whilst playing the keyboard!
Care Quality Commission visited the home to undertake an unannounced inspection, and I am pleased to inform you that we have maintained our rating as Good. A special mention goes to all the staff for all their hard work and of course residents families for supporting the home!
There is one area that we did receive a required notice of improvement this was in relation to the Best Interest paperwork that had not been fully completed. If you wish to discuss this area further please do not hesitate to contact me on 0151 724 1733.
We held our amazing Valentine Party which contained live music, our residents had a fun filled afternoon of singing and dancing!
St Patricks Day
We held a dance to celebrate St Patricks Day. Pauline did a lovely job of decorating the lounge and organising an entertainer to come into the home, we hoped if you joined us that you had a great time with your family!
Courtesy of Hannah’s family live entertainment was organised by Pauline to come into the home for the enjoyment of the residents, we greatly appreciated this, thank you!
Pauline orgaised our Mothers Day Party with live entertainemnt. Our thanks go the the kithcen team for doing an amazing buffet!
Lilly, John, Shirley, Joyce, Ruth, Stuart, Margaret, Flo, Bridget, Jean, Mary and Anne all celebrated their birthdays during this period, so thank you for letting us join in the celebrations on your special day!
Some of our resident’s families asked Pauline to organise live entertainment to come into the home, to help celebrate any special events, so thank you.
Pauline does take photographs of all the events and only takes photographs of residents whose families have given us permission to do so.
On our display board in the reception, Pauline does display the photographs so if you would like to take one of your relative you are more than welcome to.
Pauline has been liaising with a local children’s nursery who have arranged to visit our residents on a regular basis for an hour. Both the residents and the children enjoyed themselves, and the children demonstrated their dancing skills to the song Head heels and toes.
Fridays Tea Dance
You are more than welcome to come and join us on a Friday afternoon as we hold a tea dance.
Many of our resident’s partners join us and are able to get up and dance with their partner, and join in the wonderful atmosphere that Pauline helps to create!
Pauline has asked if you have any spare tea cups and saucers which need a new home, we would greatly appreciate them.
Relatives can you please ensure that you check that your relative has the following items, as these are important so that staff can maintain your relatives dignity:
Hair brush, comb, slippers and underwear. If you are unsure please speak to a senior member of staff.
Just a reminder that a minister from the local church visits the home twice a month.
